The Beyond Survival Study team holds stakeholder feedback meetings at study sites
The Beyond Survival Study team conducted stakeholder feedback meetings at the three study sites: Mbagathi Hospital, Kilifi County Hospital, and Bungoma County Hospital. The meetings brought together frontline healthcare providers from maternity, newborn, child welfare, nutrition, and social services departments, alongside county health representatives and mothers with lived experience of birth complications. The purpose of the meetings was to disseminate and validate the study findings. The sessions also incorporated human-centred design activities, during which stakeholders identified priority gaps in the continuum of maternal and newborn care following birth complications and generated potential intervention ideas to address these challenges. The insights gathered will inform the development of contextually relevant interventions to improve post-complication care for mothers and newborns.
