Current Work

Her research interests are within the spheres of One Health, zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and evaluation of health interventions in East Africa. The Clinical Information Network-Antimicrobial Resistance (CINAMR) project’s objective is to pilot a “hub and spoke” approach for bacteremia surveillance in LMIC settings that can be scaled and embedded in health systems, examining its feasibility, acceptability, and utility. The Learning to Harness Innovation in Global Health or Quality Care (HIGH – Q) project’s focus is on understanding how technological and human resource interventions can be designed and implemented successfully to enhance the quality of inpatient and post-discharge neonatal care.
