Bio
Eunice is an epidemiologist by training with an interest in vaccine science and policy. She completed my PhD in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She joined the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme (KWTRP) in 2019 as the Project Director for the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) Impact Study, a longstanding assessment of the impact of PCV on pneumococcal carriage and clinical disease in Kenya. Prior to joining KWTRP, she worked at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health on various vaccine-related studies, including global evaluations of the impact of PCVs on invasive pneumococcal disease, and evaluations of the effectiveness of mHealth interventions on vaccination uptake.

Eunice is currently the Principal Investigator for a multi-site integrated serosurveillance study, as well as for a COVID-19 vaccine safety monitoring study using a cohort event monitoring design. She also serves as the Kenya site lead within a multi-country network conducting active surveillance for adverse events of special interest (AESI) following COVID-19 vaccination, and within a consortium evaluating the effectiveness of fractional dose pneumococcal conjugate vaccine mass campaigns in Niger.
