In this years ASK show the Programme scoop 2 prices. 1st prize in the Health and Pharmaceutical categories and third price in the research and development category. We also hosted the PS Agriculture Richard Lesiyampe at the stand and the KEMRI Director Dr Yeri Kombe.
We have over the years excelled in use of novel ideas working with local communities to achieve better health. The 2017 Mombasa ASK show saw the team develop practical ways to communicate simply whilst retaining the integrity of the research the Programme is engaged in. To this end, we developed models, used artistic impressions of our research process, live models for mosquito’s, viruses, bacteria and breastfeeding Models.

We hosted over 2000 visitors at the stand who also included school children from Gongoni Primary School in Kilifi.
